The Velvet Rope Economy,

a new book by New York Times

reporter Nelson Schwartz

New York Times business reporter Nelson D. Schwartz's new book, The Velvet Rope Economy, features Private Health. The book highlights our cutting edge cancer work and the importance of our research department, noting "Even the best specialists don't have a dedicated research department, however, nor do they have time to go through the sixty thousand articles that appear in the medical journals each month. But that's where the opportunity is---scientific discoveries and clinical innovations show up in the medical literature first, long before most doctors become aware of them."

Schwartz tells the story of a Private Health client who says, five years after a seemingly fatal cancer diagnosis, "I have my life back. I was told my chances of survival were 10 to 20 percent. It's an absolute miracle and if it weren't for Private Health who pushed this, I would never have found Dr. El-Khoueiry or be alive today."

Private Health Shortlisted for Prestigious

Family Wealth Report Awards 2020

Private Health Management, a leading healthcare navigation and care management firm, has been shortlisted for the Family Wealth Report Awards.

Showcasing “best of breed’ providers in the global private banking, wealth management and trusted advisor communities, the awards were designed to recognise companies, teams and individuals which the prestigious panel of judges deemed to have “demonstrated innovation and excellence during 2019”.

Commenting on the firm’s shortlisting, Leslie Michelson, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, said: "We are delighted to have been shortlisted for these prestigious awards.  It is an honor to be recognized in the shortlist and a testament to the hard work and dedication of our incredible team.”

ClearView Financial Media’s Chief Executive, and Publisher of Family Wealth Report, Stephen Harris, was first to extend his congratulations to the shortlisted firms.  He said: “The firms who have been shortlisted in these awards are all worthy competitors, and I would like to extend my heartiest congratulations.  These awards are judged solely on the basis of entrants’ submissions and their response to a number of specific questions, which had to be answered focusing on the client experience, not quantitative performance metrics.  That is a unique, and I believe, compelling feature.  These awards will recognise the very best operators in the private client industry, with ‘independence’, ‘integrity’ and ‘genuine insight’ the watchwords of the judging process - such that the awards truly reflect excellence in wealth management.  Our aim is to make these annual Awards one of the brightest, and keenly contested highlights in the wealth management calendar.”

Winners will be announced at a gala awards dinner which will be held in New York on March 18, 2020 at the Mandarin Oriental.
