Eva J. Gordon, PhD

Senior Vice President, Research Services

Eva J. Gordon, PhD, is Senior Vice President of Research Services at Private Health Management.              Dr. Gordon has extensive experience as a medical researcher and science writer, with much of her career focusing on research in cancer and immunology.


Prior to joining Private Health, Dr. Gordon served as Director of Clinical Research at the Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation. She led the clinical research efforts of the foundation in finding the cause of breast cancer, including running a study exploring the role of viruses and bacteria in breast cancer.

Dr. Gordon’s research has resulted in numerous peer-reviewed publications on the molecular mechanisms of disease. Previously, she  worked for Infinity Pharmaceuticals in Cambridge, MA, where she developed an ultra-high throughput screening technology for the discovery of new cancer drugs. 


As a Damon Runyon-Walter Winchell Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard Medical School, Dr. Gordon studied how viruses evade detection from the immune system. In her previous graduate work, she studied the role of carbohydrates in the inflammatory response and gained technical expertise in a wide range of laboratory techniques including organic synthesis, molecular biology, and cell biology. 


She also has extensive science and medical writing experience, including as a writer/editor of a neuroimaging textbook and eight years of freelance writing for the American Chemical Society, reporting on cutting edge research at the chemistry-biology interface. 


Dr. Gordon received her PhD in Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor.
